MDU Resources subsidiary announces sale of working interest in Niobrara Leasehold
October 14, 2010 — Fidelity Exploration & Production Company, the wholly owned oil and natural gas exploration and production subsidiary of MDU Resources Group, Inc. (NYSE: MDU), has signed an agreement with JD Rockies Resources Limited, a 100 percent-owned U.S. subsidiary of ITOCHU Corporation, to sell a 25 percent working interest in approximately 88,000 net acres in the emerging Niobrara oil shale play in southeastern Wyoming. The transaction is expected to be completed in early December, when all conditions precedent to close the transaction are satisfied. Terms of the sale are confidential and will not be disclosed.
